I find frustration and anger the two emotions that are hardly ever evoked by the popular media of today be it film, videogames or written material like books, comic books etc.
It is not exactly because these are bad emotions that people don't want to feel. Movies with sad sad plots are still shown frequently and so are those horror movies (although they seriously need to overhaul the genre)
So, why is it that we don't want to be frustrated or angered but we want to be scared by zombies and saddened when some plot character dies? I think it may be because frustration and anger are our two most destructive emotions and being the peace loving humans that we are, we tend not to have an outlet for these other than destruction / chaos which society looks down upon. For sadness, you can cry. For fear, you can cover your eyes. But when you are frustrated or angered and sitting in the cinema, you can't exactly hit the guy/gal beside you.
If only someone makes a movie that utterly frustrates and angers me in the most delightful of ways...
